Challenge
To effectively bring the SAU an exemplary staff-development and curriculum-integration program to utilize its existing hardware technologies.
Action
- Established a group of 30 teachers to become part of a Technology Fellowship Program.
- Trained technology fellows in utilization of Microsoft tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Outlook, and Hyper studio.
- Innovated and managed biweekly community labs, a training facility to educate and share technological trends and goals.
- Mentored technology fellows throughout the school year.
Result
Created a network of teachers trained in skills and practices of technology integration and educated adult students in basic computer skills and technology trends.
